The City Council and Aguas de Benahavís deliver a semiautomatic defibrillator to CEIP Daidín
The Benahavís City Council and the water company Aguas de Benahavís have delivered a semi-automatic external defibrillator to CEIP Daidín, the purpose of which is to make the municipality of Benahavís a cardioprotected space
The manager of Aguas de Benahavís, Óscar Ruíz, together with the Councilor for Education, Mª Ángeles Mena, has delivered the latest generation semiautomatic defibrillator on Tuesday, highlighting the importance of this initiative.
In addition, various teachers from the aforementioned educational center have been trained in cardiac resuscitation techniques and in the use of automatic defibrillators.
The delivery of the defibrillator and the verification by the management of the center that it has personnel trained for its use, allows the CEIP Daidín to be a cardioprotected space, so that it can intervene in the first instance before a cardiorespiratory arrest, while health emergency services attend.
Automatic external defibrillators are one of the most effective tools to successfully attend a cardiac emergency.
It should be remembered that in November of last year, and coinciding with the reform of the Aguas de Benahavís headquarters, a defibrillator was also installed in said headquarters, thus Aguas de Benahavís became part of the so-called cardioprotected spaces.
